Medium tanks are the American M 26 Pershing and the Soviet Object 416. Light tanks are the French AMX 13 90 and Soviet T 54 region. The popularity of this level of the game is due not only to playing randomly, but also to participation in team and company battles, war on the global map and in battles for fortified areas.

Among the variety of tanks of the eighth level, premium tanks are especially popular. What will the best Tier 8 premium tank give you? Increased credit farming, often a preferential level of battles, accelerated crew training, the pleasure of owning a tank for a successful game. Which premium tier 8 tank is better to buy? A serious question for every player who decides to pick up a brand new car for their hangar. There is no consensus on this matter, because each player has his own playing style.

However, most gamers agree that the best premium tanks are:

• French premium tank tier 8 FCM 50t;
• Soviet IS -6;
• American premium tank T26E5;
• heavy Chinese premium tank tier 8 112.

Among the medium tanks, the M4A1 Revalorise, T26E4 Super Pershing and the Chinese Type 59 are very popular.

Which premium tier 8 tank is better to buy?

For beginners, the American Tier 8 T 34 premium tank is well suited - it has good frontal armor with a strong turret, a powerful gun with good armor penetration. Overall, the T34 is a very balanced tier 8 premium tank. But if you want to break into the enemy’s lair, the Chinese 112 is a good choice. The main part of the work to improve the characteristics of the “eights” with a preferential level of battles has been completed. But we continue to monitor statistics and read your reviews. And now a few words about working on the balancer.

In update 9.18, we introduced a new balancer that forms battles according to the 3-5-7 pattern. As a result, the distribution of teams in different parts of the list changed - from now on everyone could find an opponent within their strength. But something remains unresolved, and this is especially noticeable in relation to “preferential” cars. We're talking about frequent fights in the middle and bottom of the list. We will try to fix this. How exactly?

Currently, we cannot control the distribution of the number of battles in different parts of the list: the balancer simply does not have such a mechanism. Therefore, we need not only to decide on the most suitable distribution option, but also to completely redesign the balancer architecture, adding the possibility of such customization. This is what we are working on now. Such work will take time, so, unfortunately, the changes will appear in the game some time later, after updating the characteristics of the “preferential” vehicles.

Preferential premium tanks have a more comfortable level of battles; they do not get into battles against tanks whose level is two higher than theirs. That is, the preferential eight fights at most against nines, and the preferential seven will not meet opponents above level 8.

This is not a panic article, since there is actually no reason to panic. You, dear readers of the site, know very well that Minsk developers are not used to rushing. Moreover, all their actions are inhibited. So they will actively launch discounted premium tanks, but not too quickly.

The process is already underway

Let's get to the heart of the matter. The withdrawal of preferential premium tanks from sale is not a rumor, but a fait accompli. More precisely, a fait accompli, that is, the process is ongoing at the moment. Many tanks have already been removed from the game with a preferential level of battles. Here is just a small list of them: type 59, duck, KV-5, e 25. Many tanks of the seventh and sixth levels are next in line for decommissioning: panther m10, tog 2. And the process has noticeably accelerated.

So in the near future we can expect further exclusion of tanks with preferential battle levels from sale. Naturally, those players who already have them in their hangar will remain there. And, as a rule, developers do not degrade the characteristics of premium cars. So here the owners of the world of tanks are consistent.

Tanks will be removed from sale in batches, and I predict the process will speed up, so that once every two to three months another batch may be available for write-off by beneficiaries. Naturally, there will be announcements and offers for sale about this. In the future, such tanks can be expected to be sold only as part of promotional packages; most players simply cannot afford them.

What prevented the beneficiaries?

The developers' opinion is quite logical and correct. Preferential premium tanks often make it to the top, and their number in itself is large in the game. So they break the balance on the eighth levels. If compared with ordinary, regular eights, then those with tens fight very often, with more than disastrous results. So it is becoming more and more difficult to provide the right to a preferential level of fights, including at the expense of regular eights.

New generation of premiums

In principle, the developers have already fully prepared for the withdrawal of preferential premiums from sale in World of Tanks. A line of new premium Tier 8 tanks was consistently introduced, including medium ones, which have a standard level of battles. That is, they fall into the top ten.

Yes, some cars turned out better than others. Some people even liked them. But that's not the main point. The fact is that a new generation of premium tanks has appeared in the game. They are worse than linear ones, they can earn silver, but they do not affect the balance in battles, they do not have any benefits. So the old generation of cars can be taken out of sale without problems and losses.

But in battles with dozens, even successful examples of premium equipment live poorly and do not last long. Even with a good weapon, they do not have time to inflict damage. They either have low one-time damage (hello to the lion, asds), or have hellish reduction and a low rate of fire (a prime example is T 34). And the own survivability of premium tanks against dozens is practically zero. They can withstand one to three hits.

One-shots are very common, both from art and from brutal pts and drummers. In fact, I consider being destroyed by a drum enemy as a one-shot. And there are plenty of such opponents at level ten. So there is a formal opportunity to cause damage, but it is difficult for the average player to implement it. Primarily due to the large gap in strength between tanks of the eighth and tenth levels.

Is it worth buying discounted premium tanks before it’s too late?

My advice is simple but original. It is clear that the withdrawal of the tank from sale will be announced in advance, so there will be an opportunity to buy it before hour. But why the opportunity to purchase a premium tank at full price? My advice is to choose a tank for yourself, wait for a discount on it and buy it. Don't wait until the last minute

My opinion about premium tanks has not changed in general throughout the entire game. Preferential premium tanks, even taking into account their shortcomings, are the best premium vehicles. Getting into a comfortable level of combat is their main advantage. It’s very, very difficult to play tens, and absolutely any eight. The same lion and t 34 suffer there very much, catching one-shots or getting away with a maximum of 2-3 hits.

My choice for farming is only preferential premium cars of the eighth level. Yes, some are difficult to play (FCM), others have frankly weak weapons (IS-6 and 112), but they do not see tanks of the tenth level, and this is the main thing. I don’t mention playing gold on premium machines; it has no practical meaning, especially since the balance of premium shells is just around the corner.

Equipment that took part in real combat literally attracts the stronger sex. From a young age, in all the boys' games, whenever possible, ammunition, weapons and combat vehicles of past years are used. The equipment of the Great Patriotic War is especially valued.

In the future, the value of your models from sale will increase many times. After all, in the future they can only be purchased together with a promotional package and it is not a fact that you have enough money for such a purchase.

In the future, it is planned to add new models to the list of preferential premium tanks. Of course, the new generation of vehicles is slightly worse in quality and therefore will not greatly affect the combat balance, the game will only benefit from this. The list of discounted tanks in the world of tanks, which is beginning to change, is in many ways stronger than the new models and, unlike modern models, will live a long time.

There are only four tanks in World of Tanks that always make it to the top. Namely: Valentine II; Pz.Kpfw. B2 740 (f)- are at level 4 of WoT, and are the worst opponents due to their good armor. Two more tanks: T7 Combat Car; Light Mk. VIC— who also always get to the top of their second level.

After all, even the most successful modern models of premium equipment quickly break down in battle. As a rule, they have a low rate of fire. Most of these tanks fail after several hits.
